CSC CHRONICALS 2

So this is the next entry in the customer service chronicles for today:

Among the verge of sending my third hand back to Calphalon. This is one of probably have for about 15 years. It’s a grill pan, it just hasn’t weathered the washing and grilling so well. Albeit, have been used in a long time, but I want to start using it because I’m eating fish more often because of my heart issue. So, let’s see if it lives up to their lifetime warranty and if they’ll send me a new one like they so graciously have in the past. I have to say, Calphalon is tops for customer service and cookware. The pans I have, I love, and the ones that didn’t work out so well, they were very kind about replacing. All it took was a note and the pan shipped to them at my expense, and they replaced everything no questions asked. I make sure to baby my pants while I wash them as much as possible so as not to damage them. But of course, something is always going to go awry when you’re in the kitchen and you never know how that’s going to affect the pan. Sometimes, they just get worn, sometimes your wife uses PAM cooking spray on them without telling you, and that’s that.

Another chapter in the customer service chronicles. I tried to reserve a lodge in Killington Vermont for my ski group, Westchester skiers & riders. I called about a week ago and got a semi-decent rate from the group sales rep at a place called The Mountain Inn.

So whatever happened with Rowenta?

Well, after sending a letter to their marketing director of North America and also their CEO in France, and after the marketing rep I spoke on the phone was so rude to me as to refuse a new iron, I received a box with a new one with their compliments about two weeks later. Looks like writing a letter did something. I’d love to call up that marketing rep who was really rude to me (I think there were two of them, now that I remember) and send them a nice beauty shot of my new iron. With a little note that says “if the customer is always right, and the customer with a cousin who works at Consumer Reports is always right.”
