As with all good stories, this customer service Day has some heroes and some villains. It’s very possible that at some point both are from the same exact organization.   Sunday, July 11- My car battery dies. This is very curious, considering that I had a new battery and alternator installed a year ago. My car had been towed from the Bronx by AAA to a AAA-certified shop. They installed the new battery and alternator to the tune of about $750. From what I always understood from AAA promotional materials, and their great reputation, parts from their service centers are usually warrantee for about at least a year to three years, and batteries are usually warrantee longer. The next day, after a few jump starts to get my car going, I confirmed that the battery was dead with my local independent mechanic, who unfortunately isn’t a AAA-certified shop. But, he…
