THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CHRONICLES
By Tony Pucca, Self Consumer Advocate of the World.
We have about ex-number of hours in our lives. I think the exact number for someone that lives to the age of 75 is about (place exact number here.)
For the past two years, I’ve realized that I spent many of those hours per week on the phone with various companies, corporations, conglomerates, and creditors trying to do the simple thing that once built America into the business giant of the world: Getting an honest, worthwhile service or product for an honest dollar paid.
If you haven’t been in a coma or stuck in a Turkish prison for the past 20 years or so, you’ll know the concept of a fair deal has been getting more and more extinct every day.
Nowadays, it’s not so much a matter of fighting to get a fair deal as much as it is fighting to defend your bank account from being openly and blatantly raided by both the parties that get access to your money, or those even trusted to hold onto it. (For which you pay them for that friendly service.)
So before we get into things, I want to give some credit where credit is due. (Luckily the type of credit that people enjoy using rather than the financial type that they may enjoy abusing.) This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, because I’ve had a lot of practice added. I have to say that lots of inspiration has come from a gentleman named Bob Sullivan who reports for MSNBC.com via his blog “The Red Tape Chronicles.” The Red Tape Chronicles.” He’s also written two popular books, “Gotcha Capitalism,” and “Stop Getting Ripped Off.” It’s real consumer advocate reporters like Bob that are the only glimmer of hope for the modern-day consumer looking for nothing but fairness.
